China is putting an electric super sports car on the road that not only delivers impressive figures, but also makes the European elite seriously nervous: the Denza Z, BYD 's latest project under its premium brand Denza, is no mere "copycat" - it is a technological statement.

With over 950 hp, futuristic design and a price that makes European top dogs tremble, the Denza Z has the potential to become the game changer in the super sports car segment.

Impressive performance: more than just numbers

The Denza Z relies on three electric motors, which together deliver more than 700 kW (approx. 950 hp).
That means

  • 0-100 km/h: 3.4 seconds

  • Top speed: around 249 km/h

But that's not all. BYD's e³ platform has been specially developed for super sports cars and is equipped with DiSus-M, the manufacturer's most advanced active suspension system. Thanks to magnetorheological dampers, the system adjusts the chassis stiffness within just 10 milliseconds - comfortable for city driving, uncompromising on the racetrack.

Interior: The future on four wheels

In the cockpit of the Denza Z, you feel like you're in a science fiction movie:

  • Huge, curved driver screen

  • Gigantic central infotainment system

  • Folding steering wheel that disappears under the dashboard during autonomous driving

Particularly futuristic: steer-by-wire technology - the steering wheel is not mechanically but electronically connected to the wheels, which enables more precise and customizable steering.

Battery & range: no compromises

Official figures are not yet available, but based on BYD's proven blade battery technology, experts are expecting

  • Capacity: approx. 100 kWh

  • Range: over 600 km (WLTP)

  • Charging power: ultra-fast DC charging with more than 200 kW

This positions the Denza Z as a super sports car that is fully suitable for everyday use - without the typical range anxieties.

Design: Independent, striking, aggressive

Visually, the Denza Z scores points with its independent appearance:

  • Low, wide, sharp lines

  • Sporty, pointed nose, striking LED headlights

  • No "copycat design", but self-confident independence

The design screams speed and makes it clear: here comes a competitor that will seriously challenge Porsche and Ferrari .

Price & market: The cheapest "almost-thousander"?

The Denza Z is currently estimated to cost around 100,000 euros - a sensational figure considering the performance on offer.
For comparison:

  • Porsche Taycan Turbo S → from approx. €200,000

  • Rimac Nevera → over €2 million

  • Lotus Evija → over €2 million

If BYD maintains this price mark, the Denza Z could massively shake up the super sports car segment - and force Europe's top dogs to rethink.

Conclusion: A game changer from the Far East?

The Denza Z is not just "another electric super sports car". It is a statement that China is not only capable of mass production, but also absolute excellence. With impressive technology, radical design and an unbeatable price-performance ratio, the Denza Z could be the first Asian Hypercar to make Porsche, Ferrari and co. sweat.

The future of speed? Perhaps it no longer lies only in Modena, Stuttgart and Zuffenhausen - but also in Shenzhen.
