Woking / Abu Dhabi, 2nd July 2025 - McLaren Group Holdings Limited has today announced the completion of the recapitalization of its business and unveiled a new strategic governance structure. With a high caliber Board of Directors and the strong backing of owner CYVN Holdings (Abu Dhabi), McLaren enters a new era with a clear focus on luxury, technology and global growth.

Recapitalization & ownership structure

By taking over all outstanding bonds and loans, CYVN Holdings, a strategic investment arm of the Abu Dhabi government, has paved the way for a stable new start. McLaren Automotive, McLaren Licensing and interests in McLaren Racing and the British luxury brand Forseven are now united under one umbrella: McLaren Group Holdings Limited (MGHL).

The new Executive Board: luxury, technology, vision

The new Board consists of nine top international executives from the automotive, technology, finance and luxury industries. The aim is to strategically position McLaren, transform it through innovation and redefine it as a luxury brand.

Members of the new Board:

  • Jassem Al Zaabi (Group Chairman, UAE Government)

  • Luca di Montezemolo (Ferrari & Fiat, motorsport icon)

  • Mariam Al Mheiri (CEO of 2PointZero, former UAE Minister)

  • Kaj-Erik Relander (Technology and Investment Strategist)

  • Michel Combes (Consultant at Philip Morris, Apollo, Forgelight)

  • Nick Collins (CEO of McLaren Group Holdings)

  • Paul Walsh (Ex-Diageo CEO, former McLaren Chairman)

  • Pierre-Yves Roussel (CEO of Tory Burch, ex-LVMH Fashion)

  • Torsten Müller-Ötvös (Ex-CEO Rolls-Royce Motor Cars)

The composition stands for concentrated industry experience, global connections and a common goal: to establish McLaren as the leading high-performance luxury brand worldwide.

Strategic outlook

Nick Collins, CEO of the new McLaren Group Holdings, emphasizes:

"We are shaping a company that is equipped for the future - not the past. This realignment allows us to invest boldly, plan with discipline and set standards worldwide."

The new Board will not only preserve McLaren's traditional sports car expertise, but also lead the Group into electrified future technologies, software innovation and global brand development.

About McLaren Group Holdings (MGHL)

MGHL was founded in April 2025 and from now on forms the umbrella for McLaren Automotive, Forseven and the shares in McLaren Racing. The new group of companies acts on behalf of CYVN Holdings, a specialized investor in the field of advanced mobility based in Abu Dhabi.

Conclusion

This new management structure and financial realignment heralds a new chapter for McLaren - with a historical legacy behind it, but a clear ambition: McLaren should offer more, go further and become even more relevant globally.
