Record year for Lamborghini: 2024 breaks all sales, profit and delivery records
Despite a challenging market environment, Automobili Lamborghini achieved its best business figures to date in 2024. With a turnover of over 3 billion euros, an operating result of 835 million euros and over 10,000 vehicles delivered worldwide, the Italian super sports car brand is setting new standards - both economically and strategically.
The year 2024 thus marks a milestone in the history of the manufacturer from Sant'Agata Bolognese, which is further consolidating its position as one of the most profitable luxury car brands in the world.
Turnover: over 3 billion euros for the first time
With sales of €3.09 billion, Lamborghini exceeded the previous year's figure by 16.2% - a record that the company has never achieved before in its 60-year history. Growth was driven both by rising sales figures and by the persistently high average price per vehicle, which continued to rise thanks to special models, limited editions and customization options.
Operating result: profit of 835 million euros
In addition to sales, the operating result also increased significantly: At 835 million euros, it rose by 15.5% compared to the previous year. Particularly noteworthy is the operating margin of 27%, which remained constant - an indicator of excellent cost management, a strong brand and high demand despite global economic fluctuations.
This puts Lamborghini in the absolute top league of the world's most profitable car brands - well ahead of many other premium brands.
Deliveries: Over 10,600 vehicles worldwide
Lamborghini delivered a total of 10,687 vehicles to customers worldwide in 2024. This was another sales record. The Urus and Huracán model series and the new Revuelto, the brand's first series hybrid, were particularly popular.
As in previous years, the strongest markets were the USA, Germany, China and the UK, although strong growth was also recorded in emerging markets such as the Middle East and South East Asia.
Success factors: Hybridization & strategic model policy
A key driver of this success is Lamborghini 's strategic transformation towards greater sustainability without sacrificing performance. With the Revuelto, launched in 2023, the brand entered the world of plug-in hybrids for the first time without losing its character.
Further hybrid models are in the pipeline - in particular an Urus PHEV, which is expected in 2025. The first fully electric Lamborghini is even set to be launched by 2028.
"Another milestone in this hybrid strategy is the newly unveiled Lamborghini Temerario, which is already causing a stir with its plug-in hybrid drive and extreme performance. [→ Read more here."
Lamborghini apparently manages this balancing act between tradition, innovation and electrification better than almost any other manufacturer in the luxury segment.
Lamborghini as an icon: more than just numbers
Beyond the balance sheet, Lamborghini is consolidating its status as a cult brand for extreme emotions and uncompromising performance with these results. The brand continues to benefit from a global fan base, high media visibility and targeted collaborations - e.g. in the lifestyle sector or in virtual motorsport.
Particularly limited special models such as the Sián, the Countach LPI 800-4 or, most recently, the Lamborghini Lanzador (pre-production) have also helped to increase the brand's desirability - with collector's value included.
Conclusion: Lamborghini shows how Hypercar and economy go hand in hand
What Lamborghini has achieved in 2024 is nothing short of a feat: in an environment of supply chain problems, inflation and growing competition from electric vehicles, the brand is not only delivering economically - it is outperforming itself.
With a clear strategic direction, iconic design and technological courage, Lamborghini continues to stand out from the market. For fans of road-legal hypercars and collectors worldwide, this is good news: the bulls from Sant'Agata are stronger than ever - and ready for the future.
