Tom Hartley Jnr takes over sale of Mansour Ojjeh's legendary McLaren collection
June 29, 2025 - Great Britain
Probably the most exclusive McLaren collection in the world is up for sale: the family of Formula 1 investor Mansour Ojjeh, who died in 2021, has commissioned renowned British sports car dealer Tom Hartley Jnr Ltd to sell 20 exceptional McLaren road cars.
Following the groundbreaking sale of Bernie Ecclestone's historic Formula 1 collection earlier this year, this is another automotive history highlight in 2025.
A legacy of passion and perfection

Mansour Ojjeh was not only a partner and strategic mastermind of the McLaren F1 team - under his co-responsibility, the racing team won seven constructors' and ten drivers' world championship titles. Even more importantly, he co-founded McLaren Automotive, the road car arm of the brand. This collection is his personal legacy - a sign of his deepest attachment to McLaren and a symbol of his uncompromising passion for collecting.
Each vehicle in the collection has been curated with the utmost care. Wherever possible, Ojjeh secured the last produced example of a model series, equipped with all upgrades. Most of the cars are still in factory-supplied new condition, with the exception of the F1 (only 1,810 km) and the P1 GTR, which was used for trackdays. All cars have been serviced exclusively by McLaren themselves - a privilege never before granted to any other collector.
The highlight: The last McLaren F1 - in "Mansour Orange"
The crown jewel of the collection is the very last McLaren F1 built. Painted in the unique color "Yquem", later renamed "Mansour Orange" in honor of Ojjeh, this example is likely to break new auction records. The F1 is considered one of the most important road cars in automotive history - and in this condition, with this provenance, it is incomparable.
Other highlights of the collection include:
McLaren Speedtail
McLaren P1
McLaren Senna
McLaren Elva (with personalized Mansour emblem instead of McLaren logo)
McLaren Sabre - the last of only 16 units built
Various special models, Le Mans editions and longtail variants
Voices of the family and experts
Kathy Ojjeh, widow of the collector, said:
"This collection was an expression of pure passion for Mansour. He put hours into every detail. It's hard to part with it - but it's time for a worthy successor to take over."
Tom Hartley Jnr describes the mandate as a great honor:
"Representing this collection is comparable to selling Enzo Ferrari's private Ferraris. Mansour Ojjeh was not only a partner, but a designer of the McLaren DNA. This collection is irreplaceable."
Mansour Ojjeh: A legend in motorsport
Born in Paris in 1952, Ojjeh was a partner in McLaren from 1984 through his company TAG. Among other things, he financed the famous TAG Porsche turbo engines that carried Niki Lauda and Alain Prost to world championship titles. His vision of the ultimate road car led to the birth of the McLaren F1 in 1988 - together with Ron Dennis and Gordon Murray.
His passion for technology and design remained unbroken to the end - his name is synonymous with the pursuit of automotive perfection.

A piece of McLaren history - for sale
The sale of this collection will attract worldwide attention. Whether a single buyer will take on the entire collection remains to be seen - but Tom Hartley Jnr has already proven with the sale of the Ecclestone F1 collection (estimated at £500 million) that he has the confidence and network for a transaction of this magnitude.
